Have you just started coloring your brows yourself at home? It can feel scary at first not really knowing how to do it to get it as neat as in a salon, but with the help of a few simple tricks you can also get the perfect brows at home. We have put together four do's & don'ts when it comes to eyebrow dye that will help you get started with home dyeing!
DON'T - Färga the brow without cleansing
The first and most important step when it comes to coloring eyebrows at home is to start with clean brows. If the brows are not cleaned before application, there is a risk that the color will not stick or become uneven, as the bristles may have oils or make-up residues left.
DO - Clean the area around the brow for an even coloring
In order not to risk the color becoming uneven or not sticking, it is therefore important to clean the brows, but also the skin around them to achieve the best result. With the help of our Cleansing Foam, you remove dirt and impurities and also get between the straws.
DON'T - Get Vaseline on your brows
Using Vaseline is a really good beginner's trick when coloring eyebrows, but it is important not to get Vaseline on the hairs. If you apply Vaseline to your brows, you risk that the color will not stick, since the color cannot penetrate the feta cream.
DO - Use the Duo Brush for perfect application
Then use Vaseline where you don't want the color to stick. Draw a line on the underside, upper side and between the brows using our Duo Brush , which easily creates straight, thin lines with Vaseline.
DON'T - Remove the brow color from both brows at the same time
Most people start by applying the brow color to one brow at a time. If you remove the color from both eyebrows at the same time, there is a high risk that the coloring between the eyebrows will be uneven, since the brow you applied the color to last did not have the same effect time.
DO - Clock the time between the brows
To be sure that the color will be as even as possible, it can be nice to watch the time between the brows. Set a timer from the time you applied the brow color to the first brow and start with the second. If the time between the respective brows is 1 minute, you simply wait one more minute with the last brow for even coloring!
DON'T - Pluck the brows before colouring
In connection with coloring the brows, many people will also take care to pluck and shape them in order to maximize the look of the brows. Picking before the color treatment is not recommended, however, since you risk getting color into open, infection-sensitive hair follicles.
DO - Pluck the brow after dyeing
If you want to shape/pluck your brows in connection with your color treatment, it is important to always do it after you have dyed the brows. It also makes it easier for you to see your natural shape better, since all light strands are better visible, which means you avoid over-plucking your brows.
