We at Rapide know everything about how color can affect the overall impression of the face, which is also why we are so passionate about products and styling, and one of our favorite products to use is definitely concealer! It covers redness and soothes after threading, but above all it takes brow styling to completely new levels. Here we go through how you can use just concealer to enhance your whole look.
What does a concealer do?
A concealer is meant to cover smaller areas on the face such as pimples and unevenness, but also to lighten and sculpt areas that might otherwise look flat. Many of us know how to use concealer under the eyes to immediately get that sharp and fresh impression when the dark winter months start to take their toll. Concealer is quite simply a fantastic multi-product that everyone should have in their kit!
How should I place my concealer?
A golden rule when using concealer is to use darker tones for areas that you want to tone down and lighter tones for areas that you want to highlight.
Covering concealer: Make sure to use a concealer that is as close to your own skin tone as possible when covering pimples, blemishes or redness to draw attention away from the area. A light concealer on a raised fin can, for example, draw even more focus to the part.
Brightening concealer: You should place a light concealer on the highest points of the face in a shade that is slightly lighter than your own skin tone. Starting from the stands where the sun normally hits; forehead, brow bone, bridge of the nose, corner of the eye and chin. Under the eyes is also a part that many people want to light up to get a awake impression and cover dark circles. If you have very dark circles, it may be a good idea to first apply a color-correcting concealer, where blue tones can easily be corrected with a pink/orange colored concealer. Then you make sure to both cover and light up the area without drawing unnecessary attention to the rings!
How do I use mine? concealer?
Include your concealer in several steps in connection with your make-up. You can advantageously cover pimples and other irregularities before adding other products. Then the concealer can melt into the skin and you will get a seamless result if, for example , you choose to layer a foundation over it. Then place the concealer under the eyes, on the forehead, brow bone, bridge of the nose and chin. Blend in the concealer with our Duo Brush for seamless coverage.
